The price looks overpriced
The top-end gaming laptop Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 with an as yet unannounced AMD Strix Point processor appeared on the Internet with a price of $3,700.
Of course, you can’t buy it, but the abundance of leaks lately hints at an imminent announcement.
The description of the PC states that it is based on AMD Strix-12, that is, a 12-core mobile processor from the Strix Point line. This will probably be a representative of the Ryzen 8050 line.
The laptop will also receive 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD and a GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop. By the way, with this configuration, the price of $3,700 seems too high, so the real one may be lower.
Strix Point processors, according to all leaks, will be called Ryzen 8050/8055. These will be the usual energy-efficient U models and the more powerful H/HS. Their distinctive feature will be a 12-core CPU, that is, AMD will increase the number of cores in such a line for the first time in several years. The iGPU will also become more powerful than the current Radeon 780M and will receive 1024 stream processors based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture.
