15 years after the original, World of Goo 2 is released. The game is bypassing Steam

More than 15 years after the launch of the original game, World of Goo 2 is set to go on sale on May 23rd for Nintendo Switch and PC.

A new series of physics-based puzzles will introduce new types of protagonists, such as explosive, growing and shrinking.

The game debuts as a Switch console exclusive, offering local co-op for up to four players. The press release states that the sequel will have more than 64 levels.

World of Goo 2 was revealed at The Game Awards in December.

The original World Of Goo was released in 2008 and received 90/100 from critics and 82/100 from players.

The PC version of World of Goo 2 will not be released on Steam. It will be available for purchase on the official website of the game (for Windows, Mac and Linux), as well as Epic Games Store (for Windows and Mac).
